2015 Mt. Veeder Pinot Noir
"Maybe one day..."
Brad Warner always wanted to make a Pinot. In his Mondavi days, Brad traveled to Burgundy on a quest to learn the secrets of Pinot Noir--and there were some surprising findings. Thirty-three years later, Brad finally had the chance to make a Pinot Noir of his own, from grapes grown just two driveways down from his country home. At 1,800 feet elevation, the fruit source was a rare and special opportunity. But then again, almost everything about this wine was. A Cabernet lover’s Pinot, this wine was picked carefully and aged in 30% new oak for 11 months. In the glass, notes of plum and cherry confections, espresso bean and dark chocolate accentuate this pretty Pinot Noir.
